Additionally, submission of the General Scholarship Application is required for competitive scholarships, including private, departmental, and leadership and service scholarships.
Students must enroll as full-time students in the semester in which the award is received. Renewal of scholarships and non-resident scholarships is based on maintaining continuous full-time enrollment and maintaining the required GPA as listed in the scholarship offer. Enrollment and GPA are checked at the end of each spring semester.
Only National or State Test Date ACT/SAT scores will be considered in determining scholarship awards. The February ACT/SAT of your senior year is the last ACT/SAT to be considered for scholarship purposes. The written portion of the ACT or SAT is not considered for the awarding of scholarships.
Academic scholarships will be deferred during the work phase for co-op students.
International students may be eligible for academic scholarships; however, please note that those with active agent contracts are ineligible for scholarship consideration.
Overawards
Federal, State Financial Aid, and/or Scholarship recipients may not receive funds in excess of Financial Need and/or the Cost of Attendance. This may occur when students receive funds from other sources or agencies. When an over-award occurs, an adjustment to the student's financial aid and/or scholarships is required. A student may be required to repay funds due to the loss of eligibility. To prevent an over-award, notify the Department of Student Financial Aid of any assistance you receive that is not listed on your award letter. Examples of other aid include external scholarships, military benefits, and Vocational Rehabilitation benefits.
